Rounders Goofs
- Factual errors: A storefront check-cashing operation would
have charged a significant fee to cash a $10,000 check.
As a possible explanation, the clerk can be seen to be wearing
a yarmulke; he might have known the professor and done him
a favor. But if that were the case, you'd think the professor
would have said something to Mike, like "take this
to my friend".
-
Revealing mistakes: In the final scene, there is a sticker
on the "City Law School" door that reads "Rutgers,
the State University of New Jersey".
-
Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Mike enters the Troopers
card game wearing a jacket, is thrown out of the game
without it, and is shown later wearing the jacket again.
But you can (barely) hear the jacket get thrown onto the
ground after him.
-
Continuity: When Worm and Mike go over to Gramma's place,
Worm is chewing a cocktail stick the whole time which
he throws away when he begins to yell at Gramma. Gramma
promptly grabs him by the collar and the cocktail stick
is back in his mouth again.
-
Continuity: In the Turkish/Russian bathhouse, Mike is
seen leaning against the wall from one camera angle, but
from another camera angle his hands are at his sides.
-
Errors in geography: The University of Georgia's "G"-in-an-oval
logo is visible in several shots of the football stadium
in "Ithaca", clearly identifying it as Sanford
Stadium.
-
Continuity: The chips on the tray when Mike gathers them
and is about to leave Teddy KGB's joint.
-
Factual errors: New York State Police cars are shown
with blue and red lights on their roofs, but in New York,
the State Police use only red lights.
-
Continuity: The baseball cap jumps on and off the bed
when Mike is talking to his girlfriend after the judges'
game.
-
Continuity: The card player sitting across from Worm
in jail removes a cigarette from his ear twice.
-
Continuity: As Mike talks to the professor in the bar
about Mike missing the meeting, the professor's cigarette
swaps hands repeatedly between shots.
